Andrea O’Connell LMSW
Andrea O’Connell is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who believes everyone has the potential to grow and start living the life they dream of. She strives to offer hope and healing, incorporating Anne Lamott’s perspective that “Sometimes heaven is a new pair of glasses.” Andrea uses an attachment-based, eclectic approach to counseling, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed strategies, and strengths and systems perspectives. She has experience with couples and adults of all ages, preteens, adolescents, and young adults, minorities and people of color, and the LGBTQ population. She is competent in creating a safe space for clients to navigate challenges of all kinds, including (but not limited to) isolation, overwhelm, recovering from abuse, major life transitions, anxiety and depression, eating disorders, self-harm, relational conflict, parenting difficulties, grief and loss, guilt and shame, low self-esteem, obsessions and compulsions, religious trauma, and navigating issues with ADHD and executive function.
Andrea has been married 24 years and has 5 children and four dogs. Outside of work and attending her kids’ activities, you will find her outdoors as much as possible whether doing gardening and yard work, walking or running, or exploring trails and rivers.
