Claire Smith
Claire Smith is a Marriage Counseling and Family Counseling graduate student at Harding University. Her background includes a degree in social work with a minor in psychology. Claire has experience in drug and alcohol abuse recovery, as well as internship experience with DCFS. Before becoming a therapist, she coached the local swim team and taught classes as a lifeguard instructor.
Claire enjoys reading and writing and has a love and passion for animals. Combining her life experiences with her love for learning, Claire has an exceptional ability to navigate complex situations with acceptance and grace. She is committed to walking alongside others who have been broken by life and may need someone to say, βme too.β
Claire is well-versed in systems theory and draws on a strengths-based perspective in her work. After graduation, she hopes to continue learning how to best care for people during vulnerable times and pursue EMDR and TFCBT certifications.
