Jennifer Curtis, Ed.S., LAC
Jennifer is passionate about helping children, teens, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges while discovering hope, healing, and renewed purpose. She believes every person has a story worth hearing and is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel understood, encouraged, and empowered to grow.
Jennifer earned her Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Counseling from Harding University, her Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Central Arkansas, and her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas State University–Jonesboro.
With more than 13 years of experience serving children and families, Jennifer brings a unique perspective to counseling. She spent six years teaching third and fourth grade before serving as the Early Childhood Counselor for the Beebe School District for seven years. Her background in education and school counseling gives her a deep understanding of child development, behavior, family dynamics, and the emotional challenges individuals face throughout different stages of life.
Jennifer has a special passion for helping children with behavioral challenges and works closely with parents to equip them with practical, effective strategies that build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change in the home. She also provides counseling for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, stress, relationship concerns, self-esteem struggles, and other mental health challenges.
Jennifer’s primary counseling approaches include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and play therapy techniques. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counseling and thoughtfully tailors each treatment plan to meet the unique needs, strengths, and goals of every client.
As a Christian, Jennifer’s faith is an important part of who she is, and she strives to demonstrate compassion, grace, and genuine care in every counseling relationship. She respects the beliefs and values of each client and is honored to walk alongside individuals from all backgrounds. Upon request, she is also happy to incorporate faith into the counseling process for those who desire it.
Outside of counseling, Jennifer and her husband enjoy leading the marriage ministry at their church, where they are passionate about investing in healthy marriages and strong families. Together they have four children who keep life full and active. Jennifer considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients as they pursue healing, growth, and hope for the future.
