Jessica Burkett, LAC
essica Burkett is a school counselor with more than a decade of experience supporting children, families, and school communities through life’s challenges. She is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming environment where individuals feel valued, understood, and empowered to grow. Jessica believes that every person has unique strengths, and she is committed to helping clients build resilience, confidence, and hope as they navigate difficult seasons.
Jessica’s counseling approach is compassionate, collaborative, and relationship-centered. Drawing from her experience in education, she values meeting people where they are and providing practical, evidence-based support tailored to each individual’s needs. She strives to create a space where clients can openly share their experiences without fear of judgment while working together toward meaningful and lasting change.
Throughout her career, Jessica has served as both an elementary teacher and school counselor, giving her extensive experience working with children, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. In addition to her professional experience, she has dedicated several years to raising her children while remaining actively involved in her community through church ministry, children’s programs, and the Parent Teacher Association. These experiences have strengthened her understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the importance of community support. She is excited to be serving the McCrory Public School system.
Jessica earned her Master of Science in School Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas State University. She is currently pursuing licensure as a professional counselor and is excited to continue expanding her clinical skills while helping individuals and families experience healing, growth, and lasting hope.
Outside of her professional life, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, serving in her church, supporting her kids’ activities, traveling, and creating welcoming spaces at home. She believes that genuine connection, faith, and strong relationships are foundational to emotional well-being and seeks to reflect those values in every interaction.
